Larry Kent Clevenger, age 63, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a charter member of Providence Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Cathy Clevenger; parents, Victor and Betty Dunn; daughter, Amy Clevenger (Justin); daughter, Christy Phillips (Michael) ; sisters, Janey Kinser (Terry), Vickie Hensley (Bobby); brother Bobby Clevenger (Angie) ; grandchildren, Addie, Daniel, Stephen and Jonah Phillips; sister-in-law Judy Bowers; brother-in-law, Calvin Martin; special friends, Joy Stokely, Rick Scott, Jimmy Fraley, Pat Townsend and Mr. & Mrs. Michael Dominick, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Wise; also several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Special “Thank You” to Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 m Monday, March 3, 2014 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Scott Gorrell and Chaplain Glen Bradley officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum. Family and friends may sign the guest register on line at: www.manesfuneralhome.com.
