(February 2, 1923 - December 23, 2009) Anna Roe Carrell, age 86, of Newport, passed away, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde (Peanut) Carrell; parents, James Allen and Roe Epley Clevenger; sister, Nannie Bee Lemons; brothers, Alexander, Issac Allen and Elmer Clevenger. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Bobby and Deanie Carrell; son, Eddie Lynn Carrell; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Donald Williamson, all of Newport; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and Tammy Rogers. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Saturday, December 26, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rec. Leon Large officiating. Burial will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
