Philip E. Shults, 52, of Seymour, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at his residence.
Philip was a member of the Waldens Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He drove a truck for years and was an avid ham radio operator.
Philip is survived by his wife, Julia Hodges Shults, daughter, Sarah Beth Shults of Knoxville; step-son, J.T. Hurst of Seymour; mother, Christine Shults Bean; brother, Ricky Bean and wife Nancy; sister, Debi Franklin all of Sevierville; nieces, Holly Lane, April King, Tracy Miller; nephew, Dustin West; mother-in-law, Mamie A. Cody; sister-in-law, Dora Faye West. Besides the immediate family, Philip will be missed by many special family members and friends.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2005 at Waldens Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Allen and Rev. Edward King officiating. Interment will follow the service at Waldens Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery “Chinky Pin” with American Legion Post #104 performing military rites. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
