Hutton, Dorothy Louise, (Dot), age 78, of Seymour, peacefully left this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 10, 2011. She was of Cherokee Indian descent and loved everything about her heritage. Dot was a longtime Christian, Sunday School teacher and member of the Old Time Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to tell them stories about the "good old days." Dot was much loved by everyone who knew her. She was a supporter of Boys Town and many other charities. She lived her life as an example to everyone she met. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Huckleby; brothers, Carl Jr., Clyde, David, and Richard Huckleby, and her special longtime companion Clifford (Tip) Maples. She is survived by her children Betty Jo Dalton, Benjamin BoBo Hinshaw, Paul Hinshaw Jr., Wesley Hinshaw and wife, Anna, Patricia and husband Wayne Keith Church; grandchildren: Carla White, Dewayne, Curtis, and Julie Ann Dalton, Jack and Dustin Hinshaw, Crystal Karg, Ashley, Amber, and Brandy Hinshaw, Chris and Jared Hinshaw, Robert Jordan, and Sierra Church; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her especially her faithful companion, her poodle Coco. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
