ATCHLEY, WALLACE "JAY", JR. - 82 of West Knoxville, a gentle man, loving husband, father & grandfather, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 30, 2008. He was surrounded by his family, friends and special neighbors. Jay was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church and was retired from Roddy Coca-Cola Manufacturing. Survived by his wife, Norma Sue Thompson Atchley; two loving daughters, Sandra Gale Wilson, Pat & husband, Phil McGill; two loving grandchildren, Becky & Jamie Williams all of Maryville; brother, Cecil Atchley, Sevierville; sister, Lela Leatherwood of Maryville; 4 nieces & one nephew; several great nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday Ball Camp Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Minister Ed Sunday-Winters officiating, assisted by Ron Schumann & Steve Foster. Family & friends will meet 11 a.m. Tuesday Highland Memorial Cemetery for graveside services. Memorial donations may be made to Ball Camp Baptist Church Building Fund, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Loudon Funeral Home, Loudon.
