Dwight James Allen, of Clinton, TN. passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008. He was a World War II Veteran and a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Trailway’s Bus Lines. Dwight also ran A & A Pawn Shop in Sevierville for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Crockett and Mable Hensley Allen; Son, Ronnie Allen; Brothers, Carl Allen and Kenneth Allen. Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Huckaby Allen; Former wife, Mary Allen; Sons, Dwight Allen and wife, Pat; Timmy McCarter, Donald Allen and wife, Lina, Steven Allen and wife, Patricia; Daughters, Carolyn Jean Lewis Allen, Jeanette Sue Brooks Portwood; Sisters, Eula Mae Allen Ondo and Sue Anderson; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Leech and Rev. Ron Reagan officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Rawlings.
