STILES, MELVIN CARL - age 71 of Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2006. He was of the Methodist faith. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Stiles, parents: William Thomas and Algie Jane Stiles, brothers: Andy Herman Stiles, James Stiles, sisters: Louise Williams, Cora Sue Shipwash. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law: Deloris and Wayne Hembree of Loudon; grandsons: Jonathan and Adam Hembree of Loudon; stepchildren: Judy Brown, Marvin Carpenter, both of Madisonville; sisters and brother-in-law: Ruth Bailey of Kingston, Juanita and Charles Blesingame of Kingston, Mary Collier Fayetteville, NC, Ruby Jane Garland of Kingston; brother and sister-in-law: Alvin and Lannie Stiles of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 8;00 P.M. in Kyker's Chapel with Rev. David Largen officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. on Saturday at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery for a 11:00 A.M. interment.
