Inez Ball, age 85, of Newport, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Inez attended Bridgeport Freewill Baptist Church when her health would allow her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Ball; parents, Jake and Nina Campbell; sister, Margaret Smith and brother, Alvin and Harold Campbell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Robert Southerland of Parrottsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Danese Ball, Bill and Rita, and Harlan and Kathy Ball all of Newport, Russell and Betty Ball of Dandridge, and Lynn Ball of Morristown; brother, Jimmy Campbell; sister, Marie Hill of Newport; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and other family and friends; also a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice for doing a wonderful job caring for our mother and her special friend, Darlene Raines for being with our mother night and day and her daughters-in-law, Danese and Rita Ball for also helping night and day with our mother. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hall Kirk, Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. Tim Carson officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
