Horace Ball, age 81 of Del Rio went to be with his Lord Friday December 9, 2005 in Knoxville following a lengthy illness. Mr. Ball was a retired farmer and a Baptist by faith. Horace was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Juanita (Coggins) Ball; parents, Tilmon Russell and Fannie Mae (Pack) Ball; sisters, Ardith Tucker, Mirtle Arrwood and Lorrie Williams; brothers, Forrest Ball and Harl Ball also preceded him in death; and a special friend and son-in-law, Darius Jack Fine. Horace is survived by three sons and three daughter-in-law, Wayne and Loretta Ball of Newport, Ronnie and Barbara Ball of Del Rio, Darrell and Freda Ball also of Newport; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce Fine of Carson Springs, Wendy and Bob Malott of Lakeland, FL and JoAnn and Ralph Breeden of Newport; sisters, Christine McGaha of Sevierville, Opal and husband, Major Coggins of Newport, Georgia Mantooth of Sevierville and Betty Ruth and Paul Hux also of Newport; one brother, Joey Ball of Newport; ten grandchildren, Jackie Sue Raines, Melanie Clark, Dwayne Breeden, Misty Youngblood, Brad Ball, Steven Ball, Tracey Breeden, Michelle Ball, Kristen Ball and Malinda Ball; three great-grandchildren, John Michael Clark, Ty and Ellie Beth Youngblood; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends survive Mr. Horace Ball. The family will receive friends Sunday evening December 11, 2005 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. Gary Gass officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday December 12, 2005 at 10 a.m. in Union Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Horace Ball.
