Paul Junior Hicks
Died: 10-24-2004 Paul Junior Hicks, 78, of Newport, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 24, 2004, at his residence.
He was the manager of Mountain View Restaurant and served in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Addie Kate (Miller) Hicks; brothers, Jimmy, J.C. and John Hicks; sisters, Stella Allen and Anna Mae Cole; granddaughter, Johnna Rachel Owenby; and mother and father-in-law, William and Glennie Forrester.
Junior is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda (Dolly) Hicks, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Charles Owenby, of Newport, and Crystal and Roger Cogdill, of Newport; grandchildren, Michael and William Owenby; brother, George Hicks and his wife, Jenny; sisters, Virginia Shults and her husband Ray and Martha Finchum, all of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Jay and Mary Forrester, Jolene and Billy Parker, Valda and Jimmy Gregg, Shelby Harwell, and Deloris Forrester, all of Newport; Cecil (Bud) and Wanda Forrester, of Knoxville; and Kenneth and Reba Forrester, of Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Hicks will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and numerous special friend.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Cagle officiating.
Graveside service will be Wednesday morning, October 27, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
Military service will be conducted by LCPL Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 of Newport.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 26, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Paul Junior Hicks.
