Orville C. Boring, age 75 of Maryville, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at his home. He was saved at an early age and was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church most all of his life. Orville was retired from Alcoa and drove bus #6 for the Blount County School System for many years. He loved his family, church and his bees. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by parents, Ezekiel and Stella Boring.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda "Sue" Wilson Boring; children, Tom Boring and wife Carleen of Maryville, Janice Howe and husband Don of Columbia, South Carolina, Mark Boring and wife Allison of Tampa, Florida and Kelly Gourley and husband Don of Maryville; grandchildren, Andy Boring of Maryville, Jessica Roemmich and husband husband Josh of China, Jared Howe and wife Amanda of Iraq, Mitchel Howe of Columbia, South Carolina, Katie, Hayden and Chaney Boring of Tampa, Florida, Krista Proffitt, Jayden Boring and Harvey Gourley of Maryville; great grandchildren, Riley Roemmich of China; brothers, Willie Boring and wife Nancy of Maryville, Raymond Boring and wife Linda of Houston, Texas; sisters, Marilyn and husband George Lee Spradlin of Maryville, Wannel and husband Roy Anthony of Maryville, Mae and husband Homer Crowder of Maryville; and a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral service 8:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2007 at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church, Rev. Rex Everett, Elder Tommy Boring and Elder Ricky Boring officiating. Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at New Providence Primitive Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church on Monday. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
