Janie Maxine Henderson, age 50, stepped into the Streets of Gold early Sunday morning following a hard fought battle with cancer.
She was a devout Christian, wife, Mom, daughter, sister, and friend, always thinking of others before her self.
A faithful member of Garvers Chapel Baptist Church where her love of God was seen through her strong faith.
Maxine is preceded in death by her grandparents, Russel and Jane Jenkins, Frank and Dovie Woody, and Dennis and Roxie Henderson, and nephew, Johnathan Henderson. Also several other family members.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 32 years, Gary Henderson, of Grassy Fork; children, Joshua and Lindsey Henderson, of Grassy Fork; parents, Mack and Sarah Woody, of Cosby; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Janice Woody, of Newport, and Larry and Deborah Woody, of Cosby; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jimmy McCarter, of Cosby; brother-in-law, Jerry and Glenda Henderson; niece, Love Henderson; nephews, Collin and Matthew Woody and Brandon Henderson; special aunt and uncle, Louise and Lonnie McGaha; and close friends, Peggy McGaha and Brenda Clark and June Jenkins.
Maxine will also be missed by a numerous amount of friends and relatives. The cancer died, Maxine received Eternal Life.
Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Garvers Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Raines, Rev. Danny Green, and Rev. Richard Jenkins Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Haynes Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday evening, October 11, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Janie Maxine Henderson.
