She was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. Member of the Greenback # 401 Order of the Eastern Star and was retired from Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. and Clemia Leatherwood; brothers, Frank Leatherwood, Johnny Leatherwood, Leon Leatherwood, Rex Leatherwood, Grady Flynn and L.V. Flynn; sisters, Anna Belle Manning, Louise Hankins, Beulah Fancher, and Wilma Beasley. Survivors include her husband, Stanley E. Best; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Teresa Best; grandson and wife, Travis and Rachel Best; granddaughter, Katelyn Best; brother, Bobby Leatherwood; sisters-in-law, Margaret Leatherwood, Agnes Leatherwood all of Maryville, Jonelle Gilbert of Knoxville, and Thelma Harvey of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Chapel with Rev. R.M. Everett and Dr. Dale Ellenburg officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Carpenters Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dotson Memorial Baptist Church Vision Building Fund or to the Tackett Creek Mission Fund 814 Dotson Memorial Rd. Maryville, TN 37801.
