U.S. Veteran Jimmie William Cameron, age 75, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sally Cameron; granddaughter, Kimberly Cameron; brothers, Doug, Bob, David Jr. Cameron; and sister, Marie Dykes. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cameron; children, Tammie Cameron and husband, Tommy, Jimmy Cameron and wife Kristle, Tina Click and husband, Eddie, all of Newport; grandchildren, Steven Cameron and wife Sarah, of Lenoir City, Storm, Logan, and Peyton Click, Newport; Jennifer Knight, Newport, Douglas and Taylor Cameron, of Seymour; sisters, Florence Wiley of Newport, Mildred Gann of Dandridge; also several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Wells officiating, burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday, May 7, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home.
