Wilburn “Bill Jack” Epley, age 82, of Newport, went home to be with Jesus and loved ones gone before Saturday, July 03, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Epley; mother, Vernie Epley; brothers, Oliver “Doc” Epley, and Ben Epley, JR; sisters, Dora Jane Keys, Mary Elizabeth Jenkins and Annie Butler. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn; his sons, John Epley of Pigeon Forge, Ray (Debbie) Epley of Greeneville, TN; daughters, Cheryl (David) Hartsell of Parrottsville, Angie (Eric) Turner of Newport; along with several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Emily Frances, Evie Jean Clevenger and Lillie Mae Holt all of Newport; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks for all the loving care to Dr. David (Libby) Kickliter and the staff from Amedisys Home Health Services. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, July 5, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor James Suggs officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers Bill wanted donations to be made to Cave Hill Baptist Church’s Community Fund, 650 New Cave Church Road, TN 37821.
