Mary Epley Jenkins
Died: 09-29-2004 Mary E. Epley Jenkins, 80, of Newport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at Baptist Convalescent Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cave Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jerry Luther Jenkins; daughter, Mary Faye Jenkins; grandson, Roger Dewayne Fine; parents, Ben and Verne Epley; and brothers, Oliver L. Epley and Ben Jr. Epley.
Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry and Inez Epley, of Newport; Roger and Joyce Fine, of Newport; and Wilbur L. and Judy A. Jenkins, of Newport; sisters: Dora Keys, Emily Francis, Eve Jeanne Clevenger, Lilly Mae Holt, and Janelle Ann Butler, all of Newport; brother, Wilburn Epley and his wife, Carolyn, of Newport; grandchildren: Teresa and Eddy Black, Debbie and Dewayne Williams, Cynthia and Silas McCurry, and Tammy R. Jenkins; and one great-grandchild, Lukas Williams.
She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
The family wishes to say special thanks to her extended family at Baptist Convalescent Center.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 1, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Suggs officiating.
Graveside service will be Saturday, October 2, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Mary E. Epley Jenkins.
