Robbie Fox seeks alderman post in Sevierville
Robbie Fox has announced his candidacy for Alderman in Sevierville.
“I would ask for the opportunity to work with our mayor and Board of Aldermen to ensure that we are prepared to meet our city’s future needs by growing our current businesses, recruiting new businesses, addressing quality of life issues, maintaining a low tax rate, providing safe and secure neighborhoods, and improving traffic flow,” he said.
A lifelong Sevier County resident, he was Sevierville’s chief of police for 16 years. Upon retirement, he joined Dollywood’s executive management staff, where he is now vice president of safety and security. He has 30 years of local government experience and 11 years of what he termed “progressive business management experience,” in addition to serving on numerous community boards and two state and two national boards.
He and Sandy Fox, his wife of 42 years, have two children and four grandchildren. Their daughter Tabatha and husband Bobby Ogle have two sons, Sam and Joe. Son Robert W. “Bubba” Fox II and wife Jennifer have two daughters, Cassie and Allie.
Fox is a member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville, Leadership Sevier board, Gatlinburg Sportsman’s Club board, and chairman of Tennessee’s Elevator & Amusement Device Safety Board.
“By working with the BOMA, I want to maintain and enhance an environment that encourages the growth of existing businesses while generating more jobs. I also want to recruit new businesses to our city. Together, this will provide jobs and maintain a low tax rate,” Fox said.
“I want to work with the BOMA and city staff to ensure the city’s trafficc system is working as effectively and ef? ciently as possible. Optimal traf? c coordination, building additional roads, and prioritizing the 407 interchange are crucial to our success.
“Our city is well positioned for growth in these areas, and I want to see that we take advantage of every opportunity to improve. Our city’s residents deserve nothing less,” he said.
