Minnie Gray Allen
Died: 09-08-2004 Minnie Gray Allen, age 83, of Talbott, born October 3, 1920, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, after a long illness.
She attended and was a member of White Pine Church of God, where she was active in the women’s functions.
Preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Flora Rainwater Gray; brothers, Arlie, Monroe, and Hubert Gray; sisters, Irene Gray and Martha E. Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Noah A. Allen, of Talbott; daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Eugene Gilliam of Morristown, Lillian and George Altheide of Talbott, Ruby and Donald DeBord of White Pine; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Loretta and Robert and Debbie, of White Pine, and Noah Jr. (N.A.) and Wilma, of Coral Gables, Fla; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ruel and Wymalene Gray and George and Stella Gray, of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothie and Tip Williams; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2004, at the White Pine Church of God with the Rev. Bill Benely, Rev. Tony Collins, Rev. Raymond Hodge, Rev. David Griffis, and Rev. Billy D. Shelton officiating.
Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2004, at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine.
