Genell Brewster Ledford, age 88 of Seymour, went to be with Jesus and her beloved husband Tuesday, December 25, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Ledford; parents, Will and Emma Lindsey Brewster; and sister and brother-in-law, Vina and John Lambert.
She is survived by her sons, Leon Ledford and wife Louise, Larry Ledford and wife Mona, Herman Ledford and wife Cynthia, and Leroy Ledford; daughter, Lois Emory and husband Robert; grandchildren, Leslie Dickerson and husband Henry, Lynn Ledford and wife Kristi, Gina Harnage and husband Derrick, Ralton Emory and wife Renea, T.J. Emory and wife Amanda, Jonathan Ledford, Jeremy Ledford and wife Danielle, Scarlett Ledford, and Will Ledford; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Wanda Corky and Vicky Sutton.
Funeral service 10 AM Friday at Dupont Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Dupont Cementery. Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN 37865, (865) 577-2807. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
