Louise Walker Baines of Sweetwater passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at the family home. She was a lifelong member of Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Niota, where she taught Sunday school and served on the church board for many years. She loved to talk about Jesus and loved listening to spiritual music. She was a former employee of Carolyn Chenille for over 20 years.
She was 83.
Preceded in death by: her parents, Tom and Josephine Walker ; sisters, Betty Abbott , Anna Langone and brothers, Earl and Jerry Walker .
Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, John Wesley Baines of Sweetwater;
Daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Garey Montooth, Jeanne "Jen" and Wayne Isbill, all of Sweetwater;
Sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Janice Baines of Riceville, Sammy and Debbie Baines of Madisonville;
Nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren;
Sisters, Wilma Rush, Claudine "Deana" Abbott , Ruth Long, all of Knoxville;
Brothers, Jack Walker of Bedford, Ind., Gene Walker of Lake City, David Walker of Knoxville;
Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in Kyker's Chapel with Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Thursday in the Beulah Chapel Church Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com.
