He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville and retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Club. Preceded in death by son, Max Lynn Stafford; parents, J.N. and Gertrude Stafford; brothers, Claude, Paul, Fred and Andy Stafford; sisters, Mable Gillespie and Alice England. Survivors: wife, Dorotha McCammon Stafford; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Juanita Stafford of Sevierville, Pete and Faye Stafford of Knoxville, Rex and Joyce Stafford of Louisville, Robert and Debbie Stafford of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Bill Everett of Maryville; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and June Stafford of Phoenix, Arizona, John Stafford of Boca Raton, Florida, Phil and Billie Stafford of Atlanta, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Arthur Harrill of Maryville, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Logan's Chapel Cemetery for graveside service and interment, Rev. Sterling Turner and Rev. Robert Hayes officiating.
