He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Whaley; parents, Arlie and Lura Loveday Whaley and three sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Louise Whaley and Elizabeth Whaley Newman and husband, Paul; sisters, Patty Vance, Judy Cardwell, Blanche Ball and Helen Haynes; grandchildren, Joshua Newman, Katie E. Newman, Hanna Sage Newman, Austin Terrell and Lucas Terrell. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Red Bank Cemetery with Rev. Glen Parton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the family to help purchase a grave marker. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M.
