MONTGOMERY , BERT - age 84, of 3447 Riverview Road, Lenoir City, passed away Saturday morning, November 21, 1998, at The Farragut Health Care Center. Bert was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, The Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post #70. He was a World War II and Korean Conflict Veteran for which he was awarded the Bronze Star. Retired from The U..S Army with 20 years of service. Preceded in death by son, David Lynn Montgomery ; parents, John Bradford and Amanda Hutton Montgomery . Survivors: wife, Manita (Boots) Conner Montgomery ; daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Charles Adams of Farragut, Linda and Johnny Patterson of Orlando, Florida, Carolyn and David Cook of Lenoir City; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Anita Montgomery , John and Rebecca Montgomery , all of Knoxville; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and John Cochran of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m., Monday in The Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Morgan Trotter officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Loudon County Memorial Gardens with full military honors conferred by The East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City.
