Reba Joyce McGaha, 69, of Cosby, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 23, 2004, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee in Knoxville.
She was employed by Baptist Hospital of Cocke County as a supervisor in the Dietary Department and was a faithful member of Allen’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Adian McGaha; parents, Glen and Helen (Messer) Caldwell; brother-in-law, Donald Schofield; and nephew, Roger Hooper.
Reba is survived by her husband of 24 years, Houston McGaha, of Cosby; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Everette Brady; and grandson, Russell Brady, of Cosby; sister, Gladys Schofield, of LaGrange, N.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Dale Hooper, of Cosby, and Brenda and Avery Grooms, of Cosby; and her special friends, the ladies at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County Dietary Department.
Reba will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of other special friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Large and Rev. Doug Messer officiating. Interment will follow at Allen’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 24, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
