Mr. Jess Vernon Washam, age 85 of Sevierville, TN, passed away Monday night March 14, 2011. He was preceded in death by wife, Elious, and daughter Diene; parents, Dawey and Myrtle Washam; sister Freda Mae Buckner; brothers Edward, Cleteus and Bobby Washam. Survived by sons and wives, Micheal and Barbara, Harold and Sally and Ermal and Shirley Washam; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Lowell and Linda Washam; sister Lois Imogene Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks and prayers to grandson Bobby Washam. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday March 16, 2011 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in Byrds Chapel, Rev. Stanley Washam officiating. Singers will be the Washam Family. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Byrds Mortuary to proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville for an 11 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
