Survivors include a daughter, Teresa England, and a son, Gene Tipton, both of Swannanoa; a grandchild, Liberty England; sisters, Peggy Bryant of TN, Shirley Wilson of GA and Jewel Muncey of TN; a brother, Jack Tipton of Leicester and a niece, Carolyn Wilson of TN. Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. His family will receive friends following the service.
