WALKER , GEORGE WASHINGTON - age 79 of Rockford, Tenn., passed away Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended Porter High School and was s a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Retired from General Motors, Fisher Body of Willow Springs, Ill. with 28 years of service. Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by parents, Barney and Fannie Mae Walker several brothers and sisters, Survived by beloved wife of 48 years, Patsy Sue Thompson Walker sons, Michael Walker , Alan Walker and Warren Walker daughters, Tammie Walker and Anna Williams grandchildren, Travis and Taylor Williams brothers, Ira (Wendy) and other relatives. Funeral service will be held 8 p.m. on Saturday, Berry Chapel, with Rev. George Ott, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cedar Grove Baptist Cemetery for graveside services at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Full military honors will be provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard.
