He was pastor of Boyd's Creek Baptist Church in Sevierville the past 14 years. He was also the owner of Something Precious jewelry store at Trader's Village Mall in Kingsport. He is preceded in death by his father, Ruble E. Thompson , Sr.; niece, Kelley Davidson; nephew, Neal Davidson. Survivors: wife, Cheryl Brackman Thompson ; son, Kendrick Thompson & wife, Ana Paula, Brazil; mother, Mary Elizabeth Thompson , Seymour; sister, Phyllis Williams, Kingsport; brother, Kyle Thompson , Knoxville; brother in law, Michael Brackman, Knoxville. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 31, 1999 at Berry Chapel with Rev. Jeff Brooks officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Saturday at Seven Islands Cemetery, Knox county.
