Robert was a superintendent for J & H Steel Company before his retirement. He was a "Jack of All Trades" willing to help others especially for his church family. He enjoyed whittling and scroll sawing, making furniture for his grandchildren such as chairs and doll houses and even whittled his own walking stick. Beloved husband of Louise Willodean. Dearest father of Claudette (Ray) Wilson, Anthony (Faith) Thomas and Kimberly (Stephen) Leonard. Loving and proud grandfather of Cheryl Hicks, Thomas Wilson, Brandon Erwin, Robbin Schmiel, Sonya Baker, Kerissa Erwin, Richard Sweeney, Casey Thomas and Max Thomas. Great-grandfather to Elijah Hicks, Noah Hicks, Emma Hicks, Josiah Hicks, Cassandra Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Brady Schmiel, Gracelyn Schmiel, Paige Baker, Wesley Baker and Corbin Thomas and Sapphire Vargo.
