Otha Elmer Thomas-age 67 of Seymour passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010. He was a member of Oak City Baptist Church. Otha was an avid fisherman and gardener. He is preceded in death by his parents Everett Thomas and Georgia Thomas Helton. Otha is survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Ellen Gibson Thomas and daughter Cynthia (Cindy), stepsisters Thelma Williams, Brenda Loveday, Shelbia Lethco, stepbrother Clyde Helton Jr.; special cousin Edward Thomas and a host of special friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank Drs. Scott Borelli, Stephen Kiss, the staff and employees of Fort Sanders Western Avenue Dialysis Center and Sevier County Health Care Center for their care during his illness. Visitation services will be Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. Interment services will follow at Boyds Creek Cemetery.
