He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Dobie and Mary Davis Reed; and companion Diane Fine. He is survived by his sons, Jerry Fine, Cosby, Scottie Fine, Morristown, Curtis Reed, David Fine, Sandy Fine, Jamie Reed and Andy Fine all of Newport; daughters, Melissa Grooms, Rubie Evans, Katie Crumbley and Chanda Christopher all of Newport; several brothers, sisters, other family and friends, The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2016 and funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Benjamin Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Haynes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Manes Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
