Resided in Kodak, TN
Jimmy Wade Norton, age 78 of Kodak, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany. He was a member of French Broad Valley Baptist Church.
Mr. Norton was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Cecil Norton; son, Brandon Norton; sister, Joyce Gunkell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Joyce Terry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bus and Neva Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Norton; special granddaughter, Ali Grayce Norton; daughter-in-law, Christy Norton; brother-in-law, Ron Gunkell; nephews, Kevin Terry and Ty Gunkell; his "Breakfast Buddies" and many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kodak United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2923 Bryan Road, Kodak, TN 37764.
Graveside service and interment 10 AM Wednesday in Underwood Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Dan King officiating. Pallbearers will be David Myers, Harold Spencer, Michael Seagle, Ronnie Walker, Wiley Floyd and Phillip King. Honorary pallbearers will be his "Breakfast Buddies". Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post # 104. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
