Lynn Mack Trentam, age 85, of Halls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2016. He was a member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church. He had a brilliant mind with just a sixth grade education and had an IQ of 135. He was a handyman with numerous titles: carpenter, plumber, electrician and mechanic. He served his country as a military policeman in the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry U.S. Army in 1949. He retired from American Limestone with 30 years service. Preceded in death by father, John Trentham and mother, Christine Galyon Trentham. Siblings: infant twins, Edna, Jean, James, Bernard, Paul and John Jr. and best friend, Argie McGill. Survivors: loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Martha Trentam. Daughters, Rita (Jesse) Trentam, Kathy (Eddie) Satterfield. Granddaughters: Christy (Rusty) Brink, Melaney (Jason) Norris. Great-grandchild, Andrea Brink. Step great-grandchildren: Patrick and Cody Brink and Gavin Norris. Sisters: Louise, Lois and Darlene. The family would like to recognize loving friends and neighbors: Sam and Joyce Reynolds, Ron and Edith Welden, Steve and Peggy Morris and adopted son, Jackie Daniels. We want to thank each and every one of you for your love, friendship and dedication through the years. Funeral service 8pm Sunday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Rev. Charlie Tindell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt’s by 1:30pm Monday and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 2pm. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
