Linda Ball, age 96, of Cosby, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005, at Newport Health and Rehab Center.
She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Ogle's Chapel Church and Caton's Grove Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arter Ball, in 1956; parents, George and Lizzie Williamson; son, John Ball; and son-in-law, Paul Ogle.
She is survived by her daughters, Vauda Lee Sutton and husband, Tom, of Cosby; Bethena Ogle, of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Virgil Ball and wife, Shirley, of Newport; Vin Ball and wife, Betty Jo, of Knoxville; Jay Ball and wife, Nola, of Cosby; sisters, Belle Webb, of Newport, and Elsie Garver and husband, Floyd, of Cosby; also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Bell officiating, with burial 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ogle's Chapel Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005, prior to the funeral services.
