FRENCH, JAMES age 79 0f Strawberry Plains went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday December 9, 2005 at the St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a World War II Navy veteran and an a member of the Sunset Heights Baptist Church. He was retired from Roadway Freight Lines and was a member of Local #519. James was preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Lucy French. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Nellie Smith French of Strawberry Plains daughters, Becky Donahew of Roanoke, Va., Glenda Brock and husband Carol of Strawberry Plains sons, Robert French and wife Melina of Clinton, Jimmy French of Strawberry Plains, and Michael French and wife Janice OF Strawberry Plains sister Leona Dile of Strawberry Plains grandchildren Kim, Tammy, Michael, Darren, Mark, Scott, Brad, Jamie, Tyler and Cody 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday December 12, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a service to follow at 8:00 pm in the Chapel of Evergreen Funeral Home, Rev. Burl Covington officiating. The interment will be Tuesday December 13,2005 at 2:00 pm in the Cates Cemetery in Jefferson County with full military honors presented by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
