He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Yarber retired from Central Motor Express and was a member of the Teamsters Union #519. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lena Yarber; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Holt of Powell; sons, Gene Yarber and James Yarber of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Lois Yarber, Gerldine Yarber; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Yarber of Sweetwater, Floyd Yarber of Knoxville. Pallbearers will be Greg Yarber, David Seibers, Jackie Holt, Jack Holt, Ronnie Holt, and Chuck Lampley. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 17, 1999, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of McCarty Mortuary with Rev. Fred Scates officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10 a.m. interment service. The Yarber family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at McCarty Mortuary.
