Benita Fern Clabough, 58, of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center. During her lifetime, Fern was a helpmate to her husband where she assisted him on the farm by helping bale hay and raise cattle. Besides working on the farm she was a strong Christian lady who dedicated her life to God. Preceding Fern in death, was her son, Frank Clabough; parents, Frank and Nell Huskey Shults. Fern is survived by her husband of 40 years, Earl Clabough; son, Mark Clabough and wife Terra; grandchildren, Brayden, Spencer and Landon Clabough all of Sevierville. Besides the immediate family, Fern will be sadly missed by other relatives and a host of friends whose lives she has touched. Service will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Elder Shirley Henry and Elder Glen Henry officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Rawlings Funeral Home. Fern realizing that flowers are temporary memorials, has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
