Ruby Kate Huffaker, 79 of Strawberry Plains, died Tuesday July 15, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a lifelong active member of Kodak United Methodist Church.
Survivors include children, Betty (Glen) Simerly, Bill (Frieda) Huffaker, Larry (Kae) Huffaker, Kay (Robert) Heath, Peggy Jenkins, Jack (Deb) Huffaker, Donald Huffaker, Jeff (Janice) Huffaker; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one soon-to-be great-great-granddaughter; brother, Raymond (Ila), Bobby, Ronald (Catherine); sisters, Nellie and Shirley; sister-in-law, Mildred; brother-in-law, Hoyle; several other family members and friends.
Family received friends at Kodak United Methodist Church Sunday July 20. Funeral service followed with Dr. Bruce Marston and Rev. Rowland Buck officiating. Family and friends will meet at Henry's Cross Roads Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service on Monday. Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Building Fund of Kodak United Methodist Church, 2923 Bryan Road, Kodak, TN 37764.
