PAVELKA Esther Templeton Shanton Pavelka , age 78, of Worthington, Ohio, died Thursday, December 7, 2006. Preceded in death by parents Fred Schultz Shanton Sr. and Mary Keener Shanton, brother Fred, sisters-in-law Peggy Wakefield Shanton and Lou Wells Shanton. Survived by husband of 55 years, John Pavelka; children, Susan Brownlee Pavelka Milby, Robert Brownlee Pavelka (Becky) and Karen (Jim) Hartigan; brother, Samuel Keener Shanton; brother-in-law, Richard (Sarah) Pavelka; grandchildren, Andrew Milby, Robert (Nicole) Milby, Audrey, Jackson, Rachel and Jacob Pavelka, Stephanie and Jim Hartigan; great-grandson, Sabastian Milby; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graduate of Central High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. Attended University of Tennessee where she was an active member of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Graduate of Erskine College, Due West, South Carolina. M.A. Degree, The Ohio State University. Taught 25 years as tutor and LBD teacher Columbus Public Schools. She was a long time member of Worthington Presbyterian Church where she was an elder, deacon and member of "God Club" (Geneva Fellowship), Presbyterian Women's Association and Mary Martha Circle. She was also a member of the Ann Simpson Davis D.A.R., CT Chapter of PEO, and Tri-Delta Alumni Association. Memorial Service at Worthington Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, 11 a.m., officiated by Dr. Phil Hazelton. Interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Remembrances in her name may be made to Kingswood School, P.O. Box 5000, Bean Station, Tennessee 37708; Worthington United Presbyterian Senior High Fellowship or Kobacker House.
