Hickman, Claude Homer, Sr. – age 87 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Veteran of WWII and retired from Reeder Chevrolet with 25 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Loyd and Frenchie Hickman; grandson, Christopher Shane Holt; and brother-in-law, Maurice “Doc” Cate. Survived by wife, Imogene Hickman; son, Claude H. Hickman, Jr. and wife Judy; daughters, Dianna Seymour and husband Kenneth, and Michelle Hickman; brother, Burl Hickman and wife Erma; sister, Stella Cate; brother-in-law, Kyler Beal and wife Helen; grandchildren, Kim Beeler, Mark Holt, and Dana Womack; great grandchildren; Hailey Beeler, Christopher Shane Holt, and Alex Holt. Family and friends will meet at 8:45 AM Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Thorn Grove Cemetery for a 9:00 AM graveside service with Rev. Charlie Lynch officiating. Pallbearers: Carl Metcalf, Gary Cate, Eddie Monday, Mark Holt, Dana Womack, and Brad Beeler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 7706 Ewing Road, Powell, TN 37849. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
