June 30, 1924 - December 8, 2017 Estalee Rose Norton, 93, of Seymour passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Seymour. Estalee retired from the Knoxville City Board of Education, Adult DE Department after many years of dedicated service. She was full of life, and woman of many talents. Estalee was a wonderful cook. She loved to crochet, knit, quilt, square dance, write songs, play the guitar and sing. Later in life, she enjoyed the lake, riding in the pontoon boat and jet skiing with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Norton; parents, Arthur and Bertie Dunlap Rose; brothers, Bill Rose, Horace Rose, and Mell Rose; sisters, Heritage Boling and Viola Julian. Survivors include: Daughters: Janet Norton Householder and husband, Gary of Seymour, and Sandra Norton Whitener of Seymour; Grandchildren: Audra Webb of Seymour, Andrea Bullington and husband, Rob of Seymour, Crystal Chambers of Knoxville, John-Norton Samples of Seymour; Great grandchildren: Aidan Webb, Kennedy Bullington, Adley Mae Bullington, Noah Duncan Catchpole; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to all the caregivers at Freedom Assisted Living. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Monday, December 11th at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour, with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Pastor Bruce Yates officiating.
