Survivors include: sons and daughters in law, Harold and Viva Benson of Athens, Ala., Ralph and Liz Benson of Maryville; son, David Benson of Friendsville; daughters and sons in law, Susie Benson Slyman and Jim Slyman of Knoxville, Pat Benson Chesky and Sheldon Chesky of St. Louis, Mo., Phyllis Benson Crisp and Jerry Crisp of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Stephanie McCubbins and husband, Steve, Amy Rogers and husband, Ronnie, David and Donnie Benson , Sheryl Chesky, Audri Chesky, Lindsey Chesky, Paige Slyman, Laura Slyman and Jared Slyman; 6 great grandchildren.
