Verlis Ogle age 72 of Knoxville, TN. passed away on April 14, 2014.
Verlis was a Vietnam Veteran in 1968-1969. He served his country with Company D, 8th Cavalry 1st Calvary Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Margie Whaley Ogle; brother, James (Yogi) Ogle and nephew, Anthony Ogle.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Diann Stiles Ogle; sons, Travis Ogle and friend Billie Jean Cruse; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Danny Spears; sister, Mae Shular; sister-in-law, Mary Whaley; grandchildren, Demi Spears and fiance Zack Hollingsworth, Dalton Spears and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Smokey Mtn. Hospice, Tennova Hospice Halls, Mary Whaley and Home Keepers for the love and care they have shown the family.
Family and friends will meet at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 for a graveside service at Pollard Cemetery with Rev. Lee Breeden officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 104 of Sevierville.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville.
