(May 10, 1926 - July 25, 2008) U.S. Veteran Mr.Edward D. Boley, Jr. age 82, of Parrottsville, passed way, Friday, July 25, 2008 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Boley was a retired paint contactor, spent several summers as a baseball coach, served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Pacific theater and was a former member of the Merchant Marines. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. He also attended Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father Ed Boley; mother, Beatrice Boley; and brother, J.W. Boley. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Louise Rader Boley, of Parrottsville; son, Steve Boley, of Parrottsville; daughter, Judy Allsbrook, of Sevierville, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ronnie Wardroup, of Parrottsville; grandchildren, and spouses, Anthony and Tracy Wardroup, of Parrottsville, Tammy and Gary Bryant, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Julie and Jason Braddock, of Sevierville, Lisa and Harley Green, of Sevierville; nine great grandchildren; sisters include, Marjorie Mathes and husband Wilbur and Shirley Ball, all of Newport; also several nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Sunday, July 27, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with the Reverend Rick Clevenger officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 28, 2008 in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends fron 6-8 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
