Mabelene Rader Sexton, 76, of Parrottsville, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was born February 27, 1928, and went to be with her Lord Sunday, April 25, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Zora Mae Rader; sister, Betty Ford; brother, Bill Rader; daughter, Hurlene Strickland; and husband, Hurley Sexton.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Julie Sexton; son, Randy Sexton; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gene Barker; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Greg Schichl; son-in-law, Don Strickland; grandchildren, Kevin and Tonya Strickland, Angela and Mike Guinn, Sarah, Andy, Maia, and William Sexton, Rachel and Eric Neilson, Jason and Treva Barker, Amanda and Mike Stone, and Melanie and Jim Bankerd; great-grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, and Rachelle Strickland, Jillian Bankerd, Ryan and Caroline Guinn.
Sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Ed Boley; sister, Eunice Kiser; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Rose Rader; brother-in-law, Robert and Ferne Ford; sister-in-law, Marjorie and Wilbur Mathes; brother-in-law, Prentice and Michele Sexton; brother-in-law, Gordon and Janice Sexton; brother-in-law, L.S. and Lisa Sexton; brother-in-law, Harold Sexton; sister-in-law, Edith Carlyle; sister-in-law, Dean and Fred Foster; sister-in-law, Lois and Oliver Seay; sister-in-law, Carolyn and Doug Gentry; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Sexton and Janice Thomas.
She will also be remembered by extended family members and many friends, all of whom she loved.
On Wednesday, April 28, the family will have a private viewing from 5:30-6:00 p.m., and receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m., to be followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Barker officiating.
Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Forest Hill Cemetery.
