Valentines’ 70th Ashley and Kathleen (Price) Valentine, of Maryville, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a private celebration with family and friends at 1 p.m. April 20 at their home. They request no gifts. The couple were married April 19, 1943, in Dalton, Ga. Their family includes children Janice (Bob) Large, of Maryville, Joan Valentine, of Knoxville, Clive (Shelly) Valentine, of Dandridge, and Lynn Valentine, of Seymour. They have nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Valentine is retired from Cumberland-Clark Lift. Mrs. Valentine is a homemaker. They are members of Providence Baptist Church, Seymour.
