Resided in Sevierville, TN
James Bobby "J.B." Kear, age 69 of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015. He retired after 30 years of service from ALCOA, was an accomplished cattle and pig farmer, and an avid bee keeper.
He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Frazier; his granny who raised him like a mother, Edna Loveday Kear; mother, Margaret Price; father, James Gray; brothers, Bruce and Joe Gray; and brother-in-law, Jim Pierce.
Survivors:
Wife of 39 years: Darla Jo Kear;
Son: Darryl Galyon and wife Sue;
Daughter: Carla "Dodie" Hart and husband Kenny;
Grandchildren: Stevie and Tyler, Raven and Kaylee, Bobby and Kenny;
Great Grandchild: Xander;
Sister: Jane Pierce;
Special niece: Kim Pierce;
Special friends: Harold Leatherwood, and Faye Leatherwood who was J.B's "2nd mother".
Family and friends will meet 12 PM Saturday at Cummings Chapel Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dale Mayfield, Darryl Galyon, Billy Burchfield, Bob Ownby, Kenny Hart, Joe Mayfield, Harold Leatherwood and Mike Chambers. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
