Frances Gorrell Lane, age 63, of Newport, passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and May Belle Gorrell; brothers, George, Jack and Bob Gorrell. She is survived by her husband, George W. Lane of Newport; brothers, Gene Gorrell of Newport, Carl Gorrell of Chestnut Hill, Junior Gorrell and wife Betty of Newport; sisters, Vera Freeman of Akins, SC, Leann Spisak and husband Andy of Michigan; sisters-in-law, June Cody, Marie Gorrell and Zula Gorrell all of Newport; brother-in-law, Bill Lane and wife Brenda of Newport; several nieces, nephews and friends at Wal-Mart Deli. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 17, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Alvin Watts, Rev. Dale Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, June16, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home.
