She was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II. She worked at the Sevier County School Board and was a lifelong member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Grace Hickman, husband Edd Pollard, and daughter Sharon Russell. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law: Joyce and Mack Gass Son-in-law: Clell Russell Sisters and brothers-in-law: Agnes and Lloyd Denton, Lillie and Woody Allred Several nieces and nephews In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beech Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 337 West Mount Road, Kodak, TN 37764. Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday at Beech Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Rich Liner and Mr. Brandon Cate officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Thursday in Beech Springs Cemetery for interment with military honors. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday at Beech Springs Baptist Church.
