He was born on June 17, 1918 and is the son of the late Howard Pollard and Nettie (Smith) Pollard. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Ray Pollard; one daughter, Darla Woods and one infant sister, Oma Mae Pollard. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nina Pollard; one daughter, Judy Rogers and her husband, Don, from New Mexico; one sister, Sue Helton and her husband, Clyde, from Pigeon Forge; one sister-in-law, Harriet Hough, from Knoxville and three grandsons, Kevin Woods from Knoxville, TN, Eric Pedersen from New Mexico and Sean Pederson from Austin, Texas; one great-grandchild, Zane Pederson from Austin, Texas; several loving nieces, nephews and many other friends of the family. Graveside services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at The Beech Springs Cemetery, Rev. Ronell Owensby officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19th at McCarty Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. McCarty Mortuary is in charge of arrangements for James F. Pollard.
